UK Visas and Immigration 2026: Finding the Right Route

If something has gone wrong

If an application was refused, see visa refused: appeal, review or reapply. If your permission has run out, see overstaying and re-entry bans. If you are in detention, see immigration detention and bail.

How we work

We assess which route fits before you pay a fee, tell you what it will cost and what must be proved, prepare the application and evidence, and keep you informed until there is a decision. We are authorised by the Immigration Advice Authority and charge fixed fees. See UK visa fees. A consultation costs from £99.

Questions we are asked

How do I know which UK visa I need?

It depends on your purpose, nationality, family and job. Start with what you want to do: work, study, join family, visit, settle or claim protection.

Can I switch from one visa to another inside the UK?

Often, but not from every route. Visitor visas, for example, cannot normally be switched into work or family routes.

Your next step

Speak to an adviser about Visas and immigration: finding the right route

Tell us where you stand and we will tell you what the options are, what each would cost and what to do first. The fee is fixed and agreed before you book.

  • Regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority
  • A lawyer, not a call centre
  • You decide afterwards, with no obligation

This page is general information, not legal advice. The Immigration Rules, fees and waiting times change often, sometimes at short notice. Check the official source, or ask us about your own circumstances, before you act on it.

How we handle it

From first consultation to final decision.

  1. Book an initial consultation
